OSXのSSHターミナルセッション間で色が異なるのはなぜですか?

CentOSマシンとのSSHターミナルセッションで、UbuntuサーバーにSSH接続したときと同じように見えるように色を取得しようとしています。 echo $TERM両方でxterm-color出力として。いくつかの画面と、それぞれのホームディレクトリにある.bashrcファイル以外に、他にどのような情報を提供すべきかわかりません。

ただし、${debian_chroot:+($debian_chroot)}部分は機能せず、削除できます(ただし、そこにとどまっても何も害はなく、空の文字列と評価されるだけです)。

シェルプロンプト(lpeabody@webtest)の色は、PS1シェル変数から取得されます。

Ubuntuマシンの.bashrcは、$TERMxterm-colorであることを検出すると、プロンプトを色に設定します。

CentOSマシンの.bashrcはこれを行っていないようです。
