jtableセルで行を折り返す方法は?

このチュートリアル で説明されているように、カスタムTableRendererを実装しようとしています。レンダラーに、指定されたセルで長すぎる各テキストを行折り返しさせたいと思います。行折り返しをサポートしているので、レンダラーとしてTextAreaを使用するという考えです。ただし、次のコードは期待どおりに動作しません。
