mplayerに字幕を使用させる方法は？

ログと同様に、エラーメッセージCannot load bitmap font 'Arial'が表示されますが、他のログメッセージは、字幕トラック自体が正しく認識されていることを示しています。

したがって、問題はフォントの読み込みにあるようです。 -font（パスとfontconfigパターンの両方）を使用して、-fontconfigを使用した場合と使用しない場合のいくつかのバリエーションを試しました。また、mplayerが提供する 生のビットマップフォント もインストールしました。また、subfont.ttfシンボリックリンクを作成してみました。それが本当に生のビットマップフォントであるか、TrueTypeフォントであるかに関係なく、ビットマップフォントをロードできないと常に文句を言います。
