Condaをアンインストールせずに、遭遇した同じ問題（conda 4.5.4、pyinstaller 3.4）を修正できました。

pip install PyQt5

condaはconda install jupyter seabornを使用したときにすでにPyQtをインストールしていました。興味深いことに、conda install PyQt5を使用しても問題は解決しません。理由はわかりません。いずれにせよ、これが誰かに役立つことを願っています。
