apt-getが「archive.ubuntu.comを解決できない」という接続ができない

Ubuntu 11.04を実行する新しいVPSを入手して更新しようとしました。このエラーが発生しました。 apt-getを使用すると常に同じエラーが発生します

問題は、元々あったDNSサーバーがクエリに応答していないことです。リストにもう1つ追加して確認できます。 8.8.8.8（Google提供）は覚えやすいです。

/etc/resolv.confに行nameserver 8.8.8.8を追加して、そのサーバーをクエリします。

元のサーバーがVPSプロバイダーから提供されたものである場合は、サポートチームにこれを提示することをお勧めします。それに依存する管理ツールが存在する可能性があります。それ以外では、8.8.8.8をプライマリDNSとして永久に使用できます。
